SBS in Australia now covers every stage of the Tour De France live. However, when it was first getting involved in televising the world’s greatest bicycle race, there wasn’t much cycling knowledge at the broadcaster.
In that first year that SBS covered Le Tour, IVG was contracted as a Cycling and Logistics advisor.
Our role included providing the SBS team with access to our international cycling networks and assisting in the production of the daily regional human-interest stores.
We also assisted with crew logistics such as transport, accommodation and equipment.
